The School of Fashion and the Arts is the Philippine's first specialized fashion college. Offering a range of fashion courses from degree programs to workshops.  Its vision is to provide students with a guided framework for unleashing and nurturing their creativity, gaining the best technical skills coupled with the finest business acumen. It is managed by a team of experienced fashion professionals in the design, business and academe fields. SoFA is the official Phil. partner of Europe's leading design school, Istituto Marangoni. We are also the home campus of Project Runway Philippines.

Designers, brand managers, marketing experts, manufacturers, photographers, fashion editors... These are among your teachers at SoFA. Highly experienced, they bring real world experiences into the classroom.

Amina Aranaz-Alunan
A bag designer and SoFA co-founder, this Ateneo de Manila alumni is dedicated to sharing her passion for design with her students. After a stint as a fashion stylist with ABS-CBN Publishing's Chalk magazine she packed her bags for Italy where she graduated Cum Laude from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, she returned to Manila to build the family bag brand, ARANAZ. She was awarded by Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Super as the Designer of the Year for 2006 and was nominated in the accessories designer of the year category at the Mega Fashion Awards 2007. She is also a member of the Fashion & Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP). Known for her flair for fashion, she is also often cited as one of Manila's style icons.

Loralee Baron-Soong
A Fashion Design and Marketing graduate of DLS-College of St. Benilde, former Rustan’s brand manager for high street brands such as Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Nicole Miller. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Fashion Brand Management from Istituto Marangoni in Milan in 2004. Presently, she is one of the co-founders of SoFA and of a new local clothing brand, Duerr.

Graduate of UP Clothing Technology and the Ecole de Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris.

Christine Munda
A graduate of Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA, she has been a member of the academe for various fashion institutions such as the University of the Philippines, DLS-College of St. Benilde and La Salle College International.

Christine Benet
Graduated from University of the Philippines BS in Clothing Management. She is SoFA's Academic Director as wellas our Draping and Fashion Textile professor. She also gained her Masters ofTechnology in the University of the Philippines and was also one ofUP's Clothing Technology instructors.

Antonio Jan Garcia
A fashion designer and experienced fashion instructor who has taught in various fashion schools in the US such as FIDM and the Internationcal Academy of Design & Technology.This psychology graduate of the University of the Philippines also graduated Summa Cum Laude in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California.

Brian Tenorio
A New York-based designer. His designer shoe label, Tenorio Manila(www.tenorio.asia) has won several awards in entrepreneurship and isthe most widely publicized men's shoe label in the Philippines, whilealso being included in the book 50 Must-Buys from Manila launchedDecember 2008. Tenorio finished the Managing the Arts Program at theAsian Institute of Management (2002), after graduating a few yearsprior at the Ateneo de Manila University (2000). He is also the firstto teach shoe design and aesthetics in the country at the School of Fashion & the Arts in 2007.Oneof Manila’s most enterprising and influential creatives, Brian Tenoriois currently with the Design Management Program of Pratt Institute inNew York.

Xeng Zulueta
A fixture in the Philippine's fashion scene, this former Chief Make-up Artist for Japanse make brand Shu Uemura, shares her passion and priceless skill to aspiring make-up artists in SoFA's Make-up Techniques Program

Lawrence Antaran
A college valedictorian and a Magna Cum Laude in the University of the Philippine, BA in Organizational Communication, is our instructor for Fashion Illustration 1. He is an Independent Advertising and Graphic Design Consultant.

Elena San Jose

A Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California. She is a co-owner of Best Milk Trading Inc., and Twelvth St. Trading Inc. She is the Brand Manager for a new brand of men's apparel targeting the modern Filipino clientele. She is SoFA's instructor for Fashion Retail and Fashion Trend.

Eli Gonzales
A Project Runway Alumnus, Eli holds a degree in Fashion design and Merchandising from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde . Prior to the hit reality show, he worked as a designer for Philippine retail brands such as Plains & Prints and to date maintains his own brand, Eli Gonzales designs at Sari-Sari Store. He is also an experienced embroidery designer working with various clients.He continues to work as a freelance designer and teaches Basic and Advanced Fashion Illustration at the School of Fashion and the Arts.

Luis Espiritu
As a pioneer in the field of fashion styling in the country, he has a wealth of experience under his belt working with various publications and advertising campaigns. He is now Creative Director for ABS-CBN Publishing' s Metro Magazine and maintains a column in Philippine Star Newspaper.He shares is passion and skills as teacher and mentor at SoFA' s Fashion Styling class.
